Green Raven Services is an irrigation and lighting company committed to your property’s beauty and well-being. We install and service highly efficient irrigation systems and monitor the systems throughout the growing season. We can also evaluate and service your existing system.
Most systems fail the plants and turf because of either overwatering or underwatering. Our specialty is setting your system’s schedule to provide the optimum result, a healthy and lush landscape.
At Green Raven Services we consider ourselves to be stewards of the land and play an active role in helping your property to flourish. We evaluate, assess and oversee all aspects of proper land irrigation and take immense pride in the services that we provide for our clients. For over 25 years, Green Raven irrigation and outdoor lighting specialists have been serving the needs of New York and Connecticut residents.
Bob Byrnes, CLIA
Partner
Bob Byrnes has been in the irrigation and landscape industry his entire career. Beginning in Southern California in the mid 1980s, Bob learned how to design and install systems that would adequately water a landscape while being tested in extreme drought conditions.
After moving to the Northeast, Bob has spent the last 30 years working in the irrigation industry, focusing mainly on residential properties, but also on commercial and agricultural projects. Through his experiences he realized the importance of understanding plants and overall plant/turf care especially as it relates to water management. He studied Plant Health Care and completed courses at UMASS and Cornell extension programs. He also worked for a design/build firm in Fairfield County, CT, managing the irrigation segment of their business for close to a decade.
Bob is a Certified Irrigation Auditor. His passion is the environment, his expertise is water conservation.
Bob has also designed and consulted on many landscape lighting projects throughout the northeast. Lighting has always been a service Bob has offered to his satisfied clients, and his expert guidance has resulted in hundreds of installations.
Jon Byrnes
Partner
Jon Byrnes attended New England College where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. While at New England College he was a four-year starter on the Men’s Basketball team, finishing as a member of the 1,000-point club.
Upon graduation, Jon moved to California where he completed the Fire Academy at Shasta College and became a full-time firefighter for the Trinity Hotshots, who have been specifically trained to respond to fires in remote regions with little or no logistical support. Jon worked in the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection extinguishing some of the largest wildfires in the country.
Over time, Jon made the decision to move back East to pursue his first passion of becoming part of his father’s business. To this day, Jon believes that his love of the land started when he first worked alongside his dad as a young boy.
